1989
EIGER IS BORN
Ronny Lukito's idea to create a special adventure bag for men led to the name "EIGER." Initially, EIGER only produced simple designed bags for everyday use. As a promotional step, EIGER added its name to Exsport bags designed specifically for men at that time.
2000
EAST
The year 2000 marked the birth of the EIGER Adventure Service Team (EAST), a professional organization dedicated to the development of outdoor activities. Particularly in Indonesia. Led by qualified experts, EAST offered various programs, including EIGER Adventure Training and Education (EATE), EIGER Climbing Center (ECC). EIGER Jungle Course (EJC), and EIGER Adventure News (EAN).
2002
EXPEDITION TO THE EIGER MOUNTAIN
Named after a mountain in Switzerland, EIGER decided to climb Mount EIGER to test their products. This journey not only demonstrated the quality and excellence of EIGER products in tropical regions but also showcased their performance across all terrains.
2009
SEVEN SUMMIT EXPEDITION
EIGER supported the Indonesian 7 Summits Expedition, climbing the highest peaks on seven continents, with high-quality technical equipment. The EIGER Adventure Service Team (EAST) served as the facilitator and advisor for the expedition team. This effort, culminating in the ascent of Mount Everest in 2012, demonstrated EIGER's dedication to promoting exploration and symbolized the triumph of the human spirit in adventure.
2014
PASSION FOR ADVENTURE
With the new logo, EIGER has a new identity that reflects the aspiration to continually improve and dedicate itself to making a positive impact on the world. This significant moment marks the beginning of a new era for EIGER as we set goals to expand our global reach and inspire adventurers worldwide.
2016
BLACK BORNEO EXPEDITION
Through the "Black Borneo" expedition, EIGER aimed not only to explore the untouched rainforests of Kalimantan but also to contribute to the preservation and development of the region. Kalimantan is known for its rich biodiversity, including more than 15,000 plant species, 300 tree species, and 221 mammal species, making it a marvel of natural wonders. Moreover, Kalimantan is a center of artistic and cultural diversity with deep historical value.
2022
EIGER SUSTAINABILITY
Eiger committed to start a sustainability program by recording and measuring the contribution that Eiger has made in its care and pretect for the environment. This stated in the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Report which will be presented annually through a press conference. EIGER shares sustainability reports openly, demonstrating its commitment to responsibility and transparency
